We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, plumbing, and safety regulations, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair gas appliances and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
Conduct routine inspections to ensure the safe operation of gas equipment
Diagnose faults using specialised tools and methods, then implement effective solutions
Perform welding, plumbing, and assembly tasks as required during installation or repairs
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and carpentry skills to complete various tasks efficiently
Carry out heavy lifting when handling equipment or materials safely and effectively
Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any safety concerns or issues
Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols at all times during site visits and operations
Experience
Proven experience working as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role within the building services sector
Competent in Plumbing, Gas servicing & diagnostics
Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of gas systems and appliances
Ability to perform basic maths calculations related to measurements and system specifications
Experience with commercial driving is advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with assembly processes related to gas equipment installation or maintenance
Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in confined or elevated spaces
Commercial & Catering qualifications are a added bonus and opportunity to upskill in these sectors
