Job Description
Our Gatehouse is the first impression for all visitors to our site here at Orkie, as well as providing a security element. As our Gatehouse Attendant you will be welcoming visitors, contractors, haulage, new starts and candidates onto the site and well as checking out departing vehicles.
This is a permanent role, working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (12hr shifts) and runs a rotation of days and a rotation of nights.
It is a mostly solitary role, working alone in the gatehouse, so this must be something you feel comfortable with.
What does the role involve?
Maintaining the security of the site
Controlling all vehicles coming on site
Checking reasons for visits
Recording deliveries and contractors arriving and leaving site
Ensuring site Health & Safety policies and procedures are fully adhered to
Recording all incoming and outgoing produce
Walk round checks at gate on departure of HGVs
Directing to the correct areas of the site
Ensuring site Health & Safety policies and procedures are fully adhered to
Assisting with directing candidates either to the main office or agency offices
We're looking for those who are:
Friendly & welcoming personality
Confidennt to deal with issues as they arise
A self starter as this role is autonomous
Happy to work alone
Confident and comfortable being at our gatehouse overnight
Confident to challenge or stop individuals from entering the site if necessary
Working Hours and Rate of Pay
12.30PH / 15.38 O/T & Night shift allowance
Days Shift - 06.00 - 18.00, Night Shift - 18.00 - 06.00
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.30-15.38 per hour
