Gatehouse Officer

Pay:12.21 per hour




Hours:48




Shift: Days / Evenings




Duties as a Gatehouse Officer




The on-coming officer will arrive in time for a handover from the off-going officer. The controlled movement of all vehicles are to be monitored and permission to enter must be confirmed. Greet all guests in a welcoming manner. Manage the vehicle entry process for vehicles entering through the Gatehouse. Send daily shift reports to Bidvest Noonan. Participate in fire evacuation procedures. Manage traffic entering onto site, ensuring queues do not build up. Escalate all issues to Logistics Supervisor.

Requirements as a Gatehouse Officer




Deliver excellent customer service Be well organised and have methodical approach Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary Maintain a high standard of personal presentation Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the staff and stakeholders An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to staff and visitors' needs
