Gateline/ Security Officer

LOCATION:

Southend Central

PAY RATE:

12.21 per hour

WORKING PATTERN:

04.00am to 14.00pm

YOU MUST LIVE CLOSE TO THE STATION

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Acting as a highly visible deterrent. Assisting members of the public and providing directions. Carrying out static and foot patrols; Controlling station access and egress. Ensuring all health and safety procedures are adhered to. Providing a high level of customer service. Responding to onsite incidents and notifying the appropriate authorities. Reporting and recording onsite incidents.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

You have at least one year of security experience. You are capable of dealing with a variety of situations and are very customer service-focused. You are able to communicate clearly and effectively, attaining a good standard of verbal and written English. You have good organisational and record-keeping skills. You are IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office applications. You are well-presented at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

You must be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment and address history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods when claiming benefits).

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

You must have a current SIA security Licence. Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.

JOB TYPE:

Permanent, Earlies, Lates and Weekends (will be required to attend days for training)
