About Us:

The Degree Gap is a leading online tutoring agency working with students from GCSE through to Postgraduate level. We are known for our high-quality, school-linked tutors (many from top UK universities) and our focus on tailored, one-to-one academic support. We are currently expanding our specialist team to meet growing demand for tutors with experience supporting students with ADHD.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Self-Employed

English tutor

with a strong academic background and proven ability to support

GCSE and A Level students

, particularly those with

ADHD and additional learning needs

. You will deliver engaging, structured, and confidence-building online lessons that go beyond subject knowledge to help students manage focus, motivation, and study skills.

Responsibilities:

Deliver one-to-one online English tutoring sessions (GCSE & A Level, all exam boards). Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles, particularly for students with ADHD. Build strategies for focus, retention, and effective revision. Provide regular feedback to students and parents. Work collaboratively with The Degree Gap team to ensure safeguarding and quality standards are met.

Requirements:

Degree in English, Education, or related field (or currently studying at top UK university). Previous tutoring or teaching experience (GCSE and/or A Level). Strong understanding of ADHD-friendly teaching methods. Excellent communication skills. DBS check required (can be arranged).
