Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in using both hand and power tools. This role involves assembling components and ensuring that products meet quality standards before they are dispatched. The Assembly Technician will play a crucial role in our production process, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.

Duties

Packing and assembling orders / liaising with freighters on order collections / deliveries
Heater manufacturing perforating / expanding / powder mixing / flanging / filling machine / heater completing
Forklift operation - if possible
Pressing for ferrules
Proof testing Cardox Tubes
General maintenance
along with the following which relates to the above roles

*Assemble components and products according to specifications and drawings.

Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
*Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure compliance with standards.

*Maintain a clean and organised workspace within the warehouse environment.

*Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.

*Report any defects or issues with components to the supervisor promptly.

*Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the warehouse.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality assembly work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
