We're looking for a hardworking General Assistant to join our Large Engine Business in Kirkhill, Dyce. This entry-level job is perfect for anyone wanting to start a career in Gas Turbines. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and eager to learn.

An overview of your day



To keep the stores area clean and tidy. To keep the off-site storage units clean and tidy. Loading and unloading of delivery trucks. Moving parts/modules/engines around the facility and between sites. Delivery and collection of parts, to and from various sub-contractors. Support the workshop General Assistant in their duties, when required. Encourage and support all Company driven Lean and Six Sigma projects. Communicate effectively within the department and provide support and assistance to other staff/suppliers where appropriate. Ensure compliance with all Company policies. Actively highlight any improvement opportunity that may contribute to ensuring the safety of our people, improve quality standards and take care of the environment. Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required to meet the needs of the business.

What we need from you



Good organisational & planning skills. Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work well within a team environment. Experience in a workshop/stores environment would be an advantage. Forklift experience would be an advantage. Driving licence is essential to this position. Good HSE standards.
