General Assistants

We are seeking motivated energetic individuals that are happy to work flexibly supporting a charming young man with an acquired brain injury, epilepsy and complex and severe needs in his rehabilitation and daily living in a domestic environment based in Burton in Kendal. The young man requires 24/7 care support 7 days a week 365 days a year so the post holder will be expected to flexibly work on a rota basis (Monday to Sunday). We aim to offer flexibility so you can gain a good work life balance and we currently offer 24.5hr shifts from 10.00 am till 10.30am the next day. We pay the same rate for sleepover and day cover. You would work two shifts per week.

All staff undertake an Induction programme and are supported developmentally through in-house training and regular CPD sessions and an annual appraisal process.

General Assistants -

Your role will be to work alongside the Personal Care Assistants offering support as and when necessary and to support Housekeeping with domestic tasks. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that all candidates can swim, drive and hold a clean driving licence. We have a heated swimming pool, kitchen garden, Art Studio, and Workshop on site.
