We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Assistant to join our team. Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas. Support kitchen staff with various tasks, including cooking, plating, and serving meals. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling menu items when appropriate. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Perform basic maths calculations for inventory management and portion control. Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is advantageous but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling orders and inventory. A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation. Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers. Flexibility to adapt to varying shifts as required by the business needs.
