Job Overview

We are seeking a very flexible and dedicated General Assistant to join our dedicated Kitchen, Housekeeping and Laundry team at Carolton Care Ltd.

As per a weekly rota - Every 2nd weekend and other week day shifts.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be flexible in order to adapt in any areas of the Care Homes' Kitchens, Housekeeping or Laundry. Common sense and the ability to communicate, and work independently as well as part of a team is essential.

You will be responsible for assisting the Cook in the Kitchen with washing dishes, setting the dining room, basic food preparation and some basic cooking will be required.

In the Housekeeping you are responsible for assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the Care Homes to the high standard required and laundry facilities within our establishment.

Your efforts will contribute to providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for our residents.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen, housekeeping or laundry role is preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good physical stamina, as the role requires standing for long periods and lifting heavier items and pulling a trolley a distance. A positive attitude towards and commitment to maintaining high standards.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 21 per week
