Welsh Lady Preserves is growing and we are looking for a General Assistant to join our expanding team on a full-time basis.

This role will be varied depending on the needs of the business. You may be required to assist on the production line working with food, or be involved in the careful packing of our wide range of high quality and award winning products. You will work as part of a team to ensure that all tasks are done on time and to a high standard, adhering to company specifications in a safe and hygienic manner.

A large proportion of the role will involve manual handling duties and working in a clean and tidy manner. As a minimum, you will need a basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with all members of staff in Welsh/English. Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain organised under pressure is essential.

Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential.

This is a full time role, typical working hours are:

Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16.15pm, Friday 08:00am - 15:30pm.

These hours may vary at certain times of the year and flexibility to work overtime may be required at busy periods.

Rate of Pay: National Living Wage
