We are looking for a practical, hands-on General Assistant to join our operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our warehouse and yard - from loading and moving equipment to assisting with deployments and general maintenance tasks. This is a physically active role that requires a safety-first mindset, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:

Warehouse and Yard Operations

Safely operating a forklift to load, unload, and move equipment Assisting with the handling and storage of CCTV units and associated technology Supporting safe vehicle movements within the yard Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free

Logistics and Deployment Support

Preparing and packing equipment for deployment to client sites Assisting engineers and the operations team with manual handling tasks Ensuring equipment is handled with care to avoid damage

Health & Safety

Following company health and safety procedures at all times Using safe manual handling techniques and correct PPE Reporting any hazards, incidents, or unsafe behaviour promptly Participating in toolbox talks and safety briefings

General Support

Supporting the Quality and Maintenance Manager with routine upkeep and maintenance Carrying out basic facility maintenance tasks as needed Providing flexible support across departments when required

What We're Looking For

Valid Forklift Truck licence Experience in a warehouse, yard, or logistics role Sound knowledge of manual handling and workplace safety Physically fit and comfortable lifting heavy items (up to 32kg) Strong teamworking and communication skills Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision Punctual, dependable, and hard-working CSCS card or willingness to complete the training (company-funded)
