Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring that we maintain high standards of service and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and a basic understanding of food safety practices, contributing to a positive experience for both staff and customers.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared according to safety and quality standards. Use of coffee machine. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations. Support kitchen staff during busy periods, helping with various culinary tasks as required including washing up. Engage with customers, providing assistance and information about menu items while promoting upselling opportunities. Handle basic maths tasks related to order processing and use of till. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during service times. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and well-being of all patrons.

Requirements

Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for handling till transactions. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential; previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike. A willingness to help others and work collaboratively within a team environment. Previous experience in culinary roles or related fields would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
