We're on the lookout for enthusiastic General Assistants to join our fantastic, busy catering team at

Locomotion Museum

on a flexible, casual basis. As a General Assistant, you will be part of a hard-working, friendly group who all have the same goal - to deliver exceptional customer service to our visitors. Known for its impressive collection of locomotives and railway history, Locomotion Museum is a dynamic venue that hosts a variety of exhibitions and events, offering a unique and welcoming environment for visitors of all ages.


Successful General Assistants are responsible for a variety of tasks, including providing a friendly and welcoming service to all visitors, assisting with the preparation and service of food and beverages, serving customers and operating the till, clearing tables, pot washing, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, handling cash, and supporting stock control processes.

Shifts

Shifts will vary between Monday to Sunday. Due to the nature of the business, successful candidates should be flexible and able to work evenings and weekends. This is a casual zero-hours role, so hours will vary depending on the needs of the business, on a weekly basis.

Have a passion for delivering outstanding service, greeting customers with a smile and serving them with pride Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers Be an excellent team player with great communication skills Have a desire to succeed in your role Possess the ability to work under pressure Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health and safety at all times Ideally will have experience working as a Barista, but not essential
