our team as a General Assistant / Barista at IAG Cargo (Heathrow Airport, United Kingdom)

We're looking for a friendly, customer-focused individual to create exceptional experiences for our guests while crafting delicious beverages, providing top-notch service, and supporting daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to customer specifications Operate and maintain cafe equipment Take customer orders and process transactions accurately Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours Restock supplies and assist with inventory management Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers Support the wider team with general duties, including cleaning, stock rotation, setting up and closing down service areas, and assisting in other departments as required to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or customer service (desirable but not essential - full training provided) Barista skills or a strong interest in learning coffee preparation techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Positive, friendly, and professional manner Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work varied shifts Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (training provided) Good numeracy skills for handling transactions and basic stock counts
Commitment to delivering excellent service and creating positive customer experiences
