Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive General Assistant to support our catering and hospitality operations. This role involves assisting with meal and food preparation, serving guests, and maintaining a clean and organised environment. The ideal candidate will have these skills and also be able to work front of house, as and when the need arrises. The candidate will also be requiered to help turn around rooms and co ordinate with the head housekeeper to ensure that all rooms are cleaned and ready for the next set of guests. The candidate must have a passion for culinary arts, excellent customer service skills, and experience within a restaurant or food service setting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with safety standards and recipes Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and food safety procedures Serve meals to guests in a courteous and professional manner Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, and service stations throughout shifts Restock supplies and organise ingredients to ensure smooth operations Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times Support event catering setups and breakdowns as required Assist with general cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards Co ordinate with the head housekeeper to ensure that rooms are up to standard. Help with all manners health and safety, compleeting check lists and task lists.

Experience

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is highly desirable Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal assembly processes Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices Experience in serving guests or customers in a hospitality environment Basic kitchen experience including handling ingredients, utensils, and equipment A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
