We are seeking a skilled and reliable Builder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of building tasks, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety. Duties
Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures using carpentry, masonry, roofing, and other building techniques
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks
Perform construction painting and finishing work to achieve desired aesthetics
Install plumbing systems and fixtures in accordance with specifications and safety standards
Carry out electrical work including wiring and fitting electrical components where required
Fabricate custom components or structures as needed for specific projects
Assist with roofing tasks such as shingling, waterproofing, and structural repairs
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and project specifications
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Skills
Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding or electrical work is highly desirable
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
Strong knowledge of construction painting techniques and finishing processes
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour over extended periods
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
Fabrication skills for creating customised components or structures are advantageous
