Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced general builder to join our family-run firm, specialising in maintenance, refurbishment and disability adaptations.

We are looking for someone who has experience in a variety of trades, willing to undertake brickwork, flagging, concreting, and drainage works mainly, but who is also a competent plasterer. Roof and lead work experience would be highly advantageous.

We work in a huge variety of both domestic and commercial properties, and carry out all aspects of construction. This role would be perfectly suited to someone looking for the stability of a permanent, fixed hours role, offering a huge variety of jobs, working for one of the region's longest established family-run firms. Experience is essential for this role, age is absolutely not a limiting factor.

The Role

Monday to Friday 45 hours per week fixed Permanent and long-term role Weekly pay 31,500 per year Work for a long-established family-run firm with a network of trusted domestic and commercial clients A huge variety of work undertaken, no two days are the same All local work Own van not required 30 days' holiday Company pension No CSCS cards required Overtime opportunities if desired

Requirements

Skills in various trades, particularly brickwork, flagging, concreting, drainage works and other external works. Skills in an 'inside' trade, such as plastering. Competency in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Physically fit Must be willing to work as part of a diverse team of different trades Willingness to work alongside, and assist, apprentices Commitment to working safely and undertaking company health and safety training when required
