Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills in construction, maintenance, and repair work. This role requires a proactive individual who can tackle various tasks efficiently and effectively, ensuring that all work meets high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, including general building and carpentry tasks. Execute roofing repairs and installations as needed. Use hand tools and power tools to complete various projects, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed. Conduct fabrication tasks for custom projects or repairs. Engage in masonry work for structural or aesthetic enhancements. Assist with heavy lifting and moving materials as required on job sites. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction or maintenance roles, with a strong understanding of building systems. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Solid knowledge of carpentry techniques and masonry practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) safely and efficiently. Familiarity with plumbing systems and basic electrical work is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team. A valid driver's licence is required for travel between job sites.
