Job Title

: Experienced Bathroom Fitter/Multi Trade Builder

Location

: Torbay and 20 mile radious

As a Bathroom Fitter, you will be responsible for the complete installation and renovation of bathrooms. This includes fitting new sanitary ware, tiling, flooring, plumbing, and working with an electrician to provide the correct electrical fittings and ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard and in line with building regulations.

Key Responsibilities

:

Bathroom Installation

: Install all types of bathroom fixtures and fittings, including sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and cabinetry.

Plumbing

: Install and repair plumbing systems for new and existing bathrooms, including pipes, drains, water supply lines, and waste systems.

Tiling & Flooring

: Tile walls and floors to the required specifications and install flooring such as vinyl, laminate, or tiles.

Electrical Work

: Safely install electrical fixtures and fittings such as lights, mirrors, and extractor fans in compliance with safety standards.

Plumbing and Heating

: Install radiators, underfloor heating, and other bathroom-specific heating solutions.

Inspection & Maintenance

: Inspect existing bathroom systems and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.

Customer Service

: Communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on progress, and address any concerns or changes during the installation.

Waste Disposal

: Safely remove and dispose of old fixtures and materials.

Quality Assurance

: Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements.

Cleaning

: Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the installation process.

Skills & Qualifications

:

Experience

: Proven experience in bathroom fitting, including installation of plumbing and tiling.

Skills

: Excellent knowledge of plumbing systems, sanitaryware, and bathroom installation techniques. Ability to measure and plan installations accurately. Familiarity with tiling techniques and flooring installation. Basic knowledge of electrical work in relation to bathroom installations.

Qualifications

: NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent. City & Guilds in Bathroom Fitting (desirable but not essential).

Health & Safety

: Good understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction and home improvement industry.

Tools & Equipment

: Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools commonly used in bathroom installation.

Driving License

: Full UK driving license (if travel to different sites is required).

Hours

: Full-time, part time and flexible

Environment

: Work may take place in a variety of locations, including residential properties, commercial buildings, or renovation projects.

Physical Demands

: The role may involve heavy lifting and working in confined spaces, as well as standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

Salary

:

250.00 per day, or salaried (depending on the employment type). Overtime and bonuses may be available depending on the volume and complexity of work.
