Overview

An opportunity has arisen to join our team based in the Strichen and surrounding area. Working with a progressive mixed farm with modern machinery. Experience is essential, PA1 & PA2 certificates and a HGV licence would be advantageous but not essential. Must be able to work as a team, dedicated and hardworking, be flexible with hours during busy times. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our agricultural activities, where you will be involved in various tasks that contribute to the overall productivity of the farm. Successful candidates will have a passion for working outdoors and a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic environment. Livestock work will be part of the job with cattle, sheep and poultry -this will only be as a supporting role during specific tasks. Pay will be dependent on the successful candidates experience and attitude to work.

Responsibilities

Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. Transporting poultry feed to various sites Perform general maintenance on farm equipment and tools, including repairs as needed. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Provide care for livestock, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring health. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to promote safety.

Skills

Experience with various types of tractor work. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment is preferred. Experience with hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks is essential. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating quantities of materials. Knowledge of animal care practices is beneficial for working with livestock. Pay: 12.21-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
