Job Description

We're looking for a General Foreman to join our Transportation team based in Birmingham. Within this role, you can enjoy a very competitive renumeration package, plus potential for overtime and call out, plus further uplift for night work.

Contract:

Permanent, Full Time 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday


Salary:

32,000 to 35,000 depending on experience + overtime + standby

What will you be responsible for?





As a General Foreman, you'll be working within the Transportation Team, supporting the Supervisor by delivering daily task briefings and ensuring teams are set up and ready to work effectively.



Your day to day will include:


Assisting in the completion of point of work risk assessments.

Checking and issuing permits to dig

Working as part of a tree planting /weed spraying team.

Issuing chemicals and equipment to teams.

Setting up a safe working site on the highway.

Liaise with members of the public on site if approached follow and comply with the safe systems of work, risk assessments, ICoP and training.



What are we looking for?





This role of General Foreman is great for you if have:


Full driving license

PA1 & PA6

NRSWA Operative

Good understanding of safe digging practice
