Location: Bristol

Job Role

We are looking for a General Foreman to manage construction activities on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are met. You'll coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, lead site teams, and keep projects on track. The project is a 13 million highways project consisting of junction improvements, drainage and resurfacing in Bristol.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate site works to meet safety, quality, and environmental objectives. Implement Health, Safety & Environmental plans and maintain welfare standards. Develop daily site plans and manage resources effectively. Monitor productivity, costs, and budgets, taking corrective action where needed. Ensure compliance with quality procedures and carry out regular inspections. Engage with designers and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges. Support carbon reduction and sustainability targets.

Person Specification

Strong background in site management within construction. Knowledge of HS&E legislation and quality standards. Ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively. Good IT skills and familiarity with site reporting systems. Commercial awareness and ability to monitor costs and resources. CSCS and SMSTS are required

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
