Job Summary

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced General Foreman/woman to oversee and coordinate various management activities within our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising teams, managing projects, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organisational abilities. The ideal applicant will have previous supervising experience and a solid understanding of management principles to support our organisational goals effectively.

Duties

Lead and supervise teams to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Develop, implement, and monitor project schedules using. Oversee project management activities, including resource allocation, risk management, and progress tracking. Coordinate with different departments to streamline operations and improve workflow processes. Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance to team members for professional development. Ensure compliance with organisational policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards. Prepare reports on project status, team performance, and operational metrics for senior management. Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members as required.

Skills

Proven expertise in project scheduling and management. Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. Supervising experience within a similar industry or organisational setting. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail. Effective communication skills to liaise with staff and customers. Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. This is a full time role managing a team of joiners, decorators, handymen, landscapers and sub contracted trades as well as communicating with customers.
