We are seeking a versatile and experienced Handy Man to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks across our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent organisational skills to ensure the smooth operation of all equipment and infrastructure. The position offers an opportunity to utilise a broad skill set in a dynamic environment, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our operations.
Duties
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and structural components
Repair and replace faulty wiring, plumbing, fixtures, and other building elements
Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and interpret schematics for repairs or modifications
Perform welding tasks as required, ensuring safety standards are adhered to at all times
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
Supervise junior team members or contractors during specific projects or repairs
Assist with installation of new equipment or infrastructure upgrades
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities
Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal or external client requests promptly and professionally
Skills
Proven experience with electrical systems, mechanical repairs, welding, and general maintenance tasks
Strong understanding of schematics and diagrams for troubleshooting purposes
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
Leadership qualities with previous supervising experience preferred
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
Mechanical knowledge combined with practical problem-solving skills is essential for success in this role
