We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills and experience in maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The Handy Man will be responsible for performing various repairs, maintenance, and installations across different facilities, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.

Duties

Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Perform repairs and installations as required. Execute welding tasks for metal repairs or installations. Supervise and lead small teams on specific projects or tasks when required. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and concerns promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to ensure safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance tasks including basic electrical work, carpentry, snagging and making good Utilize tools and equipment safely and effectively, including the use of an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all tasks. Assist in the setup and teardown of facilities for events as required.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and management. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship. A valid CSCS card
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 9 weeks

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
