Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Handy Man to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving various facilities and equipment across our premises. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills, leadership qualities, and excellent customer service abilities. The Handy Man will ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently to uphold safety standards and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and structural components. Perform repairs and troubleshooting using schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals. Carry out welding, mechanical repairs, and installation work as required. Manage maintenance schedules and supervise junior staff or contractors when necessary. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to maintain automated systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally. Lead small teams during maintenance projects, demonstrating leadership and supervisory skills.

Requirements

Proven experience in maintenance, electrical work, welding, or related fields. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation. Electrical experience is essential; knowledge of electrical systems is highly desirable. Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Customer service orientation with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical or mechanical trades are advantageous.
