Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Support chefs with cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking various dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help with catering events by preparing food items according to specific menus and dietary requirements. Serve meals to customers or clients as required, ensuring excellent customer service. Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable. Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A proactive attitude towards learning new cooking techniques and kitchen operations. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools is an advantage.
