Overview We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant (full-time or part-time) to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within catering, food preparation, and restaurant settings. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player with a passion for food safety and excellent service. The kitchen is open 8am-2pm Mon-Fri (no evening or weekend work). You must be over 18 to be considered for this role Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely delivery of dishes Deliver meals to customers locally using own transport Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment Help with food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of ingredients Take food orders and serve meals to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner Restock supplies and ensure all kitchen tools are maintained in good condition Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment Requirements As delivery to customers is an essential part of the role, candidates must have their own transport Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation processes Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good organisational skills with attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and kitchen operations A positive attitude and excellent teamwork abilities This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food service who are eager to gain practical experience in a professional kitchen setting.

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
