Cross Lane Primary School is looking for a highly-motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated General Kitchen Assistant, with some Midday Supervisor duties to join our ambitious team. In this role, you will support School Leaders by maintaining and enhancing the environment for pupils and staff.



We are looking to welcome someone who will:

The main objectives of the role:



to assist in the day to day duties in the school kitchen, including food preparation, cleaning of equipment and the kitchen premises; to assist in the serving of meals and washing up; to assist in the setting up of the dining hall in preparation of the lunchtime service; to follow training and supervision in the use and care of all catering equipment. to assist the end of day cleaning in school's catering kitchen; to ensure Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times and that defects to equipment and premises are reported appropriately to maintain a safe working environment for all kitchen staff.



During Midday Supervisor Duties to:





to assist with the supervision of children in the lunch Hall; to encourage healthy eating habits to our enthusiastic and well behaved children; to clear tables and spillages during servings and be responsible for cleaning and clearing at the end of the lunchtime sessions; to be aware of, and comply with, policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person. to show commitment to equal opportunities and promote non-discriminatory practice in all work aspects. to carry out any reasonable duties as requested by the Headteacher and School Business Manager.
