Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support catering operations by preparing ingredients and assisting with serving during events. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene at all times. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within catering or restaurant settings. Basic cooking skills with an eagerness to learn more about meal preparation and culinary techniques. Understanding of food safety standards and practices is essential. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A team player who can communicate effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment. A passion for food and cooking, with a willingness to take on new challenges in the kitchen.
