Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness like dish washing and kitchen cleaning, and ensuring that all food safety standards are upheld. Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks. Support chefs and kitchen staff in daily operations, including cooking and plating dishes. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment by washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including catering or restaurant experience. Familiarity with culinary techniques and meal preparation processes is advantageous. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain high hygiene standards. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Willingness to learn new things, like the HR system with simply steps on HR applications. Basic level of Mandarin is preferred to communicate with the main chef (but not a must).
Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 60 per week
