Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations across two sites one at CF48 and one at NP12. It is imperative that the candidate has access to their own vehicle to travel between sites.

A wide knowledge and experience of roles within this environment is essential. This position is perfect for individuals who are flexible in their approach and are able to adapt quickly as the role will change on a daily basis.

Typical Duties

Working in pot wash alongside others. Collecting dishes from the restaurant. Restocking products. Putting away deliveries whilst ensuring stock rotation is met. Serving food and drinks front of house. Assist the cooks with breakfast preparation. Working in sandwich production. Simple cooking tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and restaurant, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food is prepared and stored correctly. Support chefs and cooks during meal preparation and service times, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently.

Skills

Previous experience in a front facing role and a kitchen environment is essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential. Basic culinary skills, including meal preparation techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic kitchen setting.
Please note-This role includes lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 28 - 35 per week
