Job Summary



We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Labourer to join our company. As a Labourer, you'll provide essential support to our skilled tradespeople, ensuring the smooth execution of maintenance and repair projects. You'll work on various tasks, from manual handling to cleaning and preparation, using your physical abilities and attention to detail to deliver high-quality results.

Duties & Responsibilities



Key Responsibilities:



Manual Handling:

Load, unload, and move materials, equipment, and tools around work sites.

Site Preparation:

Clean and prepare work areas, including removing debris, sweeping, and clearing.

Tool and Equipment Maintenance:

Clean, maintain, and store tools and equipment.

Assisting Tradespeople:

Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks, such as holding materials, passing tools, and providing general support.

Health and Safety:

Adhere to company health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Communication:

Effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met and any issues are addressed promptly.

Qualifications & Experience



Certification:

CSCS card or ability to obtain one

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role or in a construction/maintenance environment preferable.

Knowledge:



o Basic understanding of maintenance processes.

o Familiarity with building materials and tools.

o Knowledge of Health and Safety and an understanding of Risk Assessment procedures and safe working practices.

Skills:



o Basic knowledge of manual handling techniques.

o Ability to follow instructions and works as part of a team.

o Basic communication skills

Technology:

Be comfortable with smartphones/tablets for accessing work schedules and as a communication tool.
