Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer who can drive with experience in general demolition, groundwork, and brickwork along with general construction to support residential house building projects across the North East. (Knock through, structural works would be an advantage)

Work will be mainly located in Newcastle, Gosforth, Jesmond, and the Tyne Valley, with occasional travel to Northumberland and North Tyneside.

The successful candidate must be able to drive and ideally have access to their own transport. The role involves physical labour, assisting skilled trades, and supporting site logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in general construction activities. Support bricklayers: mixing mortar, preparing materials, and basic laying tasks Transport tools, materials, and equipment between sites Operate small plant and tools (where trained) Maintain cleanliness and safety on site Follow all site-specific health & safety procedures
Requirements:

Full UK driving licence (essential) Own transport preferred Groundworks and/or brickwork experience (essential) Experience in residential construction environments (preferred) Physically fit and willing to work outdoors Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

CSCS Card Manual Handling or basic site safety training Knowledge of site plans, levels, or basic setting out (an advantage)
