Dutton Construction Ltd is seeking a Labourer to join our team in Altrincham, Manchester.

Job brief

We are looking for a General Labourer to take up manual labour tasks and support operations in worksites.

You will primarily be working alongside other trades on refurbishment jobs to family homes.

You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to safety rules. If you fit this description, we'd like to meet you.

Responsibilities

Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete materials Assist welders, carpenters, painters or other tradespeople on-site Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders). Use power tools and machinery when needed. Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labour tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods) Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures. Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions. Carrying out a wide range of all-around property maintenance works and repairs. Plaster mixing, fixing frames and windows, assisting bricklayers, carpentry, joinery, minor plumbing repairs, tiling, and supporting with any other labouring duties.

Requirements and skills

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.) Communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safety rules Desirable: Asbestos Awarenes, Working at height Desirable experience in Plastering and fitting Windows. We are keen to speak with multi-traders who have come from a labouring/social housing background. Must live within a commutable distance of Altrincham and be flexible to travel to surrounding areas.

Pay: 120.00 per day
