We are seeking a proactive

General Maintenance

assistant to join the team at our busy 157 bedroom hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a hands-on and all-round maintenance experience. The position is paid and suitable for candidates who thrive in a dynamic, and busy environment and want to ensure that our guests always leave happy. We are looking for someone who possesses excellent organisational skills.

Duties

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and facilities to minimise downtime. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and other systems as required. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to facilitate repairs. Work as a team during shift operations, supervising tasks to ensure safety and efficiency. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs carried out. Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations at all times. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

Proven experience in maintenance roles with knowledge of all general maintenance including electrics, plumbing, decorating etc Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, and repair techniques. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Customer service orientation with the ability to address internal or external client needs effectively. Pay: 12.30-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
