We are looking for a skilled

General Maintenance Operative (Electrical Bias)

to join our facilities management team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of building systems and assets, ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient environment for our clients.

As a

General Maintenance Operative (Electrical Bias)

you'll:

Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across building systems, including HVAC, BMS, pressure systems, and steam loops. Conduct inspections, testing, calibrations, and compliance checks. Support integration of new systems into business-as-usual and maintain up-to-date SOPs. Mentor apprentices and share technical knowledge across the team. Oversee subcontractors to ensure safe, high-quality delivery. Support continuous improvement initiatives through Root Cause Analysis, Condition Based Monitoring, and LEAN practices. Use IT systems such as CAFM, Maximo, and compliance databases to track and report performance. Act as a professional representative of Sodexo, ensuring consistently high levels of customer satisfaction

What we're looking for:

Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance (or equivalent). Strong technical expertise in engineering and electrical practices, with proven experience in building services maintenance. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, with experience in risk management and compliance. Customer-focused, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to work as part of a multi-functional team in a regulated, business-critical environment. Flexible, resilient, and motivated to drive continuous improvement. Desirable: HNC in Engineering, or professional accreditation in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical disciplines.
