Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pub Manager . The right manager will be able to keep the pub organised and operating smoothly throughout these busy periods. It's important to us the manager focuses just as much of their attention on the other days of the week and not just the weekend nights. Building relationships with locals, organising pool teams, dart teams, planning live entertainment and events etc.

You will be expected to work at peak times, as well as being in the office on Mondays. You are expected to have a sensible approach to your working pattern, including working busy weekend nights, bank holidays, Christmas period and any special events.

We have a small cocktail menu. Don't worry if you have no cocktail experience full training will be provided.

You will be expected to work to budgets and have an understanding of profit and loss. We have busy periods and quiet periods - it's important you manage budgets and staffing accordingly.

Desired Qualifications, Experience or Skills

Management experience running a busy day to day venue Personal Alcohol Licence Stock Management Food Safety & Hygiene (desirable) Clean and Tidy Cellar Management Rota Management and Shift Planning Experience using Social Media Strong IT Skills (full training will be provided on our software system) Conflict Management Skills Emergency First Aid at Work (Desirable) Health and Safety Risk Assessments Fire Safety, Manual Handling, COSHH, Passion for Cocktails (full training will be given) Understanding of Licensing Law and the four licensing objectives Budgets, Forecasting and Cash Handling Eye for Detail Staff Training and Development Skills Liaising with Local Responsible Authorities Experince running a % based system
