General Manager - Component Supply/Engineering SME

Location: Aldershot, Surrey HQ (with regular travel to Lincolnshire site)

Salary: 50,000 base + performance bonus + pathway to equity

About the Company

We are a long-established and highly respected supplier to the food processing and

engineering services sector, with over 40 years of heritage. Under new ownership, the

business is entering an ambitious new growth phase, aiming to double revenues and expand its client base across the UK and internationally.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our next chapter. This is a hands

on leadership role with responsibility for:

Managing day-to-day operations across Aldershot HQ and a Lincolnshire port town based site. Driving sales and building strong relationships with our loyal client base. Overseeing financial performance, cash flow, and working capital. Leading and developing our team, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the shareholders and working closely with them on a three-year growth strategy.
This role will be central to revitalising a respected SME and positioning it for the next stage of success.

What We're Looking For

10+ years in a senior leadership role (General Manager, Operations Director, or similar). Experience in engineering, precision manufacturing, or food/industrial supply chain sectors. Strong P&L, budget, and commercial management skills. Track record of delivering growth in an SME environment. Excellent people management and client relationship skills. Hands-on and practical approach, comfortable leading across both operations and sales.
