Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced
General Manager
to oversee all aspects of operations at our precast concrete manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational efficiency, safety compliance, team leadership, and profitability. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, team management, and business development within the construction materials industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility including production, quality control, logistics, and maintenance.
Ensure optimal use of resources to achieve production targets and maintain high product quality.
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, sales, logistics, and administration.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Manage workforce planning, training, and performance evaluations.
Strategic Planning & Business Development:
Oversee the building and maintaining of strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Identify new market opportunities and expand customer base.
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement long-term strategic goals.
Financial Management:
Work closely with the Financial team to manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Monitor KPIs and financial performance to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive margin improvement initiatives.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with workplace safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
Promote a zero-incident safety culture and lead continuous safety training programs.
Quality Assurance & Customer Satisfaction:
Maintain and enhance product quality and consistency in line with company and industry standards.
Respond to and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
Senior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in precast concrete or construction materials.
Strong knowledge of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality control systems.
Proven track record of financial and operational performance management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with IT.
Understanding of applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
