We're looking for a hands-on, inspirational General Manager to lead and grow our successful and profitable flagship coffeeshop and bar on Whiteladies Road. This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of a busy, vibrant site and deliver great results for both our guests and our team.

What you'll be doing

Running day-to-day operations on the floor -- you'll lead by example, visible and present. Driving the key measures: customer satisfaction, labour controls, profit margin, as well as building our food & drink offer. Hiring, training, and developing a motivated, high-performing team. Managing budgets, stock, and labour to keep costs under control. Delivering excellent hospitality standards, ensuring every guest leaves happy. Contributing new ideas for menu, events, and promotions to keep Bakesmiths fresh and exciting.

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a General Manager in hospitality (cafe, restaurant, or bar) -- or a very strong Assistant Manager ready to step up. A hands-on leader who thrives in a busy service environment. Commercially astute -- confident with numbers, costs, and business performance. A people person who inspires, supports, and develops their team. Passionate about food, drink, and delivering a memorable customer experience.
Able to work to lead a team unsupervised as an 'owner manager'
