About us

OAK Restaurant is a small business in Bath. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to create a sustainable local restaurant with a focus on local food and natural wine. We have maintained a Michelin green star for the last four years and we are currently working towards our B corp certification. We have a garden project on the outskirts of Bath where we grow our own vegetables and keep bees and we work closely with organic growers in the area.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in management or supervising a restaurant. As an General Manager, you will play the key role in overseeing the daily ops of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and support to the team in a fast-paced hospitality environment

- Assist in managing all aspects of the restaurant, including supervising staff and ensuring excellent customer service

- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies

- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly

- Support the team and create a positive work environment for all staff members

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively

- Knowledge of bar tending techniques and beverage service

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

- A passion for delivering exceptional hospitality services

- An understanding of wine and a willingness to learn more
