Job Summary
CLUBHOUSE
is a state-of-the-art padel court & fitness facility, incorporating a vibrant coffee and smoothie lounge and a functional HYROX-style training gym. We create an inclusive and exciting atmosphere for visitors of all ages and skill levels. Offering top-notch coaching, well-organized corporate & customer events, high-performance fitness classes, equipment rentals, refreshments & light bites.
You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, managing cross-functional teams, driving revenue, and ensuring the facility operates at the highest standard across sport, fitness, and hospitality.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow a new concept in the North West fitness and leisure market!
Key Responsibilities
1. Facility & Operations Management
Oversee daily operations of the entire facility: padel courts, gym, and cafe.
Ensure smooth running of bookings, court management, equipment, and safety standards.
Maintain high cleanliness, maintenance, and operational efficiency across all zones.
Implement and monitor health & safety and safeguarding protocols.
Oversee food & beverage and retail operations while managing menus, pricing, and inventory for the food & beverage program.
2. Team Leadership
Recruit, train, manage and motivate teams across all departments: front-of-house, cafe staff, and court operations.
Schedule rotas and ensure optimal staff coverage across all hours of operation.
Foster a positive, customer-first culture throughout the facility.
3. Customer/Player Experience & Membership
Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming environment.
Manage member and guest relationships; handle feedback and resolve issues effectively.
Drive membership and usage growth through events, tournaments, training sessions and promotions.
4. Sales & Business Development
Achieve revenue targets across padel, retail, events and cafe sales.
Develop and execute promotional campaigns and partnerships to attract new users.
Collaborate with marketing to grow brand awareness, social media presence and online engagement.
5. Financial & Administrative Oversight
Manage operational budgets, cash flow, staffing costs and supplier relationships.
Monitor KPIs and generate regular reports on performance across departments.
Coordinate with senior leadership on strategic planning and investment.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
Proven experience in a general manager, leisure manager, or sports club manager role.
Strong understanding of multi-area operations (sport, fitness, and hospitality).
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with team management experience.
Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and hitting sales targets.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Customer-centric approach with a passion for sport and fitness.
Desirable
Knowledge or passion for padel, HYROX, or functional training.
Experience launching or managing a new venue or concept.
Food & beverage / cafe operations experience.
Health & Safety and/or First Aid qualifications.
