Reports to: Club Directors

Employment Type: Full-Time

Hours: 40 hours per week (including mornings, evenings, and weekends as required)

We are looking for a hands-on General Manager to take ownership of the club's daily operations, staff management, and member experience, ensuring UBX Greenford Quay remains a leading example of quality, culture, and consistency within the UK network.

1. Club Operations

Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure seamless running of all sessions and services.

Maintain the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the club at all times.

Ensure equipment is safe, functional, and always presented to UBX standards.

Conduct daily club checks, equipment inspections, and maintain a proactive approach to facility maintenance.

Uphold all health & safety, fire, and first aid compliance standards.

2. Team Leadership

Lead and inspire the coaching and support team to deliver exceptional training and member experiences.

Create and manage weekly staff rotas, ensuring appropriate coverage across all operating hours.

Conduct regular team meetings, 1:1 reviews, and ongoing development sessions.

Uphold strong communication, teamwork, and accountability across all staff.

Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of all team members.

3. Member Experience & Community

Be the face of UBX Greenford Quay -- build strong relationships with every member.

Conduct new member consultations, onboarding sessions, and goal reviews.

Ensure all members are greeted warmly and receive consistent, high-quality support throughout their journey.

Lead by example in driving a welcoming, motivational, and inclusive club culture.

Manage member feedback and resolve issues quickly and professionally.

4. Sales & Performance

Drive new membership growth through local outreach, corporate partnerships, and member referrals.

Oversee lead follow-up, trials, and conversion processes using GymMaster and local CRM systems.

Track and report key metrics: membership numbers, retention rates, conversion rates, and member engagement.

Execute marketing initiatives and in-club challenges in partnership with UBX HQ and Greenford Quay leadership.

5. Club Presentation & Cleanliness

Maintain exceptional hygiene and presentation standards at all times.

Manage daily and weekly cleaning schedules, ensuring all zones (gym floor, bathrooms, storage, reception) are spotless.

Conduct daily opening and closing checks to ensure the club is always guest-ready.

Ensure signage, equipment, and retail displays are tidy, professional, and aligned to the UBX brand.

Skills, Experience & Attributes

Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a fitness, leisure, or hospitality environment.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a small team.

Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail.

Confident in handling member queries and delivering a premium customer experience.

Proactive problem solver with a hands-on approach to challenges.

Competent in using CRM/membership management software (GymMaster experience advantageous).

First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain).

Genuine passion for fitness, boxing, and the UBX brand mission.

Pay: 25,585.74-33,000.00 per year
