Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee operations in our establishment. This is a hands on possition and requires strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service in the hospitality industry. This role requires a keen understanding of both hotel and restaurant management, with a focus on team management, food safety, and culinary excellence.

Duties



Lead and manage all aspects of the hotel and restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity. Foster a positive work environment by providing guidance, support, and training to team members. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery across all areas of the establishment. Address guest complaints and feedback promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve service offerings. Liaising with the owners and Chefs to develop new menus, i.e. consolidating the team's and owners' ideas and scheduling cook offs and tasters, following back on feedback, revise costings and suggest selling prices, all the way to printing the menus and changing prices on the till system.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a managerial role within the hotel or restaurant industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is essential. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
