We are It's Bagels, bringing the humble New York Bagel to London, high style, high quality and an amazing atmosphere, stepping into an It's Bagels is like stepping into a Bagel Shop in downtown New York

We are looking for hungry and hardworking like minded individuals, to take this brand from 3 sites to the next step, we are on the look out to grown and spread the bagel joy far and wide

As a General Manager



You lead with strength, integrity, and a clear vision for success. You care deeply about your team -- mentoring, motivating, and working shoulder to shoulder with them -- while always doing what's right for the business. You set the standard for excellence through your attention to detail and commitment to getting things done efficiently and effectively. From teaching the fundamentals of health and safety to demonstrating how to mop the floor, you lead by example. Yet, you also understand when to delegate, empowering your team to take ownership so you can focus on the bigger picture and drive the business forward.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Operational Leadership Achieve financial goals through strategic planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring. Control labour and operating expenses, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions. Develop and execute sales and marketing plans that support company objectives. Operational Excellence Oversee day-to-day cafe operations, ensuring all standards, procedures, and goals are met. Manage multiple departments effectively; schedule, plan, and communicate clearly with all teams. Conduct regular management meetings to review performance and align on goals. Review P&L statements and develop action plans to drive revenue and manage expenses. Team Development & Leadership Hire, train, and support cafe managers and staff to achieve high performance. Coach and mentor team members for growth and long-term career development. Conduct training sessions, performance reviews, and corrective actions as needed. Foster high morale, accountability, and collaboration across all departments. Guest Experience & Service Ensure exceptional guest service through effective leadership and training. Oversee guest service models, resolve complaints, and ensure service recovery. Build strong guest relationships and identify opportunities to enhance satisfaction. Sales Growth & Business Development Develop creative strategies to increase revenue and profitability. Drive catering and sales initiatives with measurable goals and results. Maintain high standards for food, beverage, and overall customer experience. Safety, Compliance & Facility Management Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations. Create a culture where safety is a top priority; oversee the cafe Safety Program. Maintain facility appearance and address operational issues promptly. Obtain Paris Baguette food safety certification within 30 days of hire. Other Requirements Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.
