We're looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead our newest Shiny pub - The Pattenmakers Arms in Duffield. This historic village pub has been reimagined as a warm, modern community hub serving Shiny craft beers, real ales, and delicious food in a relaxed, friendly setting.

The Role
You'll oversee the day-to-day running of the pub, ensuring smooth operations and brilliant customer experiences. Working closely with the Area Manager, you'll be responsible for:

Recruiting, training, and inspiring a happy, motivated team Maintaining high standards of service, presentation, and safety Managing budgets, controlling costs, and identifying opportunities for sustainable growth Cellar management and ensuring beer quality across craft and cask Building strong community relationships and leading by example on the floor
About You
You're an experienced hospitality professional with a genuine passion for craft beer and people. You thrive in a hands-on leadership role and enjoy being part of a close-knit community. Ideally, you'll bring:

Proven experience as a General Manager or Pub Manager in a similar environment Strong operational and leadership skills Knowledge of cellar management and beer dispense systems A love for great beer, food, and service A positive, inclusive attitude and the ability to create a welcoming environment for all
Other Details
Due to limited parking, this role may suit someone local to the area. On-site two-bedroom accommodation is available for the right candidate.
