hands-on, energetic General Manager
to oversee our fantastic venue in Edinburgh - and play a key role in shaping the future of our business!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
General Manager
to oversee the operations of our Airthrill Edinburgh site. Reporting directly to the Area Manager, you will be accountable for all aspects of site management including leading your team, financial planning and profitability as well as being responsible for site legislative requirements including Health & Safety and Food Safety. We have a central team who are there to advise and support as necessary, but the day-to-day operations are for the General Manager to oversee.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring the safe operation of the site through compliance management and accurate reporting.
Maintain standards of both equipment and buildings as per company guidelines.
Implementing Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures and ensuring compliance at all times.
Team development and promoting a positive culture.
Deliver outstanding customer service.
Achieve and succeed KPIs and profitability goals.
Maximise revenue opportunities to ensure that the profits, costs and targets are in line with the company budget.
Promote your venue through social media.
Follow HR processes as and when required.
Participate in new site openings or closings (travel may be required)
Attend manager meetings, training sessions or workshops as required by the business (travel may be required)
What We're Looking For:
A confident, adaptable leader with site management experience - ideally in leisure, hospitality, or entertainment.
A problem-solver with strong operational knowledge and commercial awareness.
Someone with working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
Excellent communication skills and a passion for people and performance.
Someone with great leadership and people management skills.
Experience with Kitchen / Food to Go operations.
Certified in First Aid, CPR and Level 2 Food Hygiene is preferred but not essential.
A hands-on manager who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in!
