Job Overview


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our brunch brand, Over Easy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, with a focus on food preparation and service. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. The General Manager will ensure that all aspects of the restaurant run smoothly while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties



Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in food preparation and service. Manage staff, including hiring, training, and supervising team members across various roles. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Monitor inventory levels and manage food production to minimise waste. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure menu items are prepared to specification. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Skills



Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality sector. Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Experience in food production processes, including inventory management. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of operations. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Previous experience as a barista is an advantage. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff and customers.
